Small amount of tractor experience, I've done feed trailers, mixer wagon, bedding up with the straw copper also moved round, square and straw bales and I've moved all forms of cattle with a cattle box.

I got my PA1 when I was on my apprenticeship at cannington collage.

I got my above and below 10 tonn ticket when I was at bicton collage doing a course on plant operations

Other livestock experience

I've milked for the past 3 years in a 20 side swing over and have experience in all areas of milking.

Feed calves, help with dehorning and tag them.

I've received training for calving from the Mount vets but never had to get involved as of yet.

I've taken part in rotational grazing, padock grazing and strip grazing.

I've helped weigh beef and load them.

I've got a small holding where I keep pigs and raise them from 8 to 28 weeks

Farm, Marsh Green July 2021 to March 2023.

I was brought in as potential help in assisting with milking duties of 92 Cows. This was done on a voluntary 20 session experience with a view to it becoming a paid role. Following this, I was offered a position because of my dedication, aptitude & reliability.

This then became a paid role 3 x 2-hour sessions a week.

The parlor is a 8 aside herringbone

Responsibilities include everything inside the parlour, IE.

-Turn on milking parlour machinery.

-Feed, wipe, milk & spray in lots of 16 cows with varying requirements.

-Wash down parlour and flush lines clean.

-Turn off machinery.

Bridgwater & Taunton College - Cannington Sept 2022 to March 2024.

Level 2 General Farm Worker

Farm, Budlake July 2022 to present.

Originally did some voluntary Milking Parlour support sessions that led to being offered an apprenticeship through the farm attending Cannington College, Bridgwater studying the Level 2 General Farm Worker course Completed March 2024.

250 herd size of Jersey cross Holstein.

Current farm duties include..

- Covering on my own in a 20 aside swing over, both milking sessions.

- Responsible for diagnosing & administering drugs for conditions such as Mastitis/High Cell Count.

- Tractor & Trailer driving. Fully loaded 30 Flat Bed, Straw Chopper, Cattle Box, Fully Loaded 12-ton Dump Trailer.

- Erecting High Tensile Electric Fencing.

- And other general farm duties.
