I have the knowledge and experience of farm techniques, farm equipment and most machinery including the use of a Bateman RB35, John Deere 4040, a range of Claas Lexions, Case Quadtrac, CAT Challenger and many more. I have an excellent knowledge of machinery and tools including routine repairs, service and maintenance on all arable machines. I have experience and good knowledge of using GPS steering systems, yield mapping, vary rate fertilising with SOYL mapping systems and auto shut off and auto height on sprayers.
Looking after a beef herd of 200 from calves through to finishing and assisted with occasional sheep work alongside my wife especially during lambing season.

Farm Foreman
I was employed as a Farm Foreman responsible for the daily operations of the 1400ha family based farm with an additional 400ha of contract work for local land owners. I managed a small team of staff, generating work schedules, manage communications between the agronomist, land owners and management. I am experienced in using the latest drilling technology using a Horsch CO12 with vary rate seeding SOYL, vary rate fertilising and using the yield mapping from combines. I always ensure the machinery is kept in safe good working order including any maintenance and servicing that needs doing. I also have hedge-cutting experience and ensure all hedgerows are neat and well maintained.

I was employed as an arable operator, predominantly as the main sprayer and combine operator to farm the 2500ha of arable land. I managed the harvest teams and supervised the seasonal staff as well as organising and overseeing the haulage contractors from field to store. As the main sprayer operator I was in charge of liaising with the agronomist, local land owners and also supervised the part time sprayer operator. I was responsible for maintaining and servicing our own machinery including two class lexion 780s, Bateman RB35, JCB forklift and other John Deere machinery.
