I have completed several harvests and have worked for contractors on and off since I was 16. I have alot of tractor driving experience from contracting work to dairy tractor work. Tractor work has been a main role of mine in every job I have had.
I have worked stock for over 5 years now. I started off working in dairy where I then progressed to owning and breeding my own line of pedigree jerseys. After I sold up I then went into working for beef farmers and ran my own flock of pedigree herdwicks and store lambs alongside. I have since gone back to working on a dairy farm bit would like to progress in my carer and take on a position where I can use my knowledge and experience with a stock role.

2014-2018 worked with several contractors and on different farms whilst I was younger and completing college.
2018-2020 I worked at a dairy farm and ran 200 head of cattle. My responsibilities towards the start was more general farm work based such as milking, bedding, calf rearing etc. This allowed me to hain experience in the parlour and with tractors. This then went on to become more of an assistant herdsperson role where as I took on running the youngstock side of the farm.
2020-2021 I worked on a beef farm. My main responsibilities where feeding and weighing but I also would help on tractor work when we were busy. I had the cattle averaging 3kg a day gaining.
2021-2023 I was self employed and had several jobs on different beef farms. I also had my own flock of pedigree herdwicks and store lambs on the side.
2023-2024 I currently work on a dairy farm. I started off wanting to do GFW and milking but since my role has changed to being a tractor driver. As much as I enjoy this the role I was promised was more stock based and I want to look for a job where I can use my knowledge and skills to progress a herd and keep pushing them to the best of their ability.
