Farm Worker job with Spraying Experience in <->Oxfordshire<-> needed for Family Farm

Farm worker needed for 1000 acre family farm in Oxfordshire Spraying (PA1,2), cultivating, combining, drilling. Workshop & machinery maintenance skills. Basic livestock handling. Telehandler certificate.  Fencing, farm maintenance, chainsaw certificate UK driving & trailer licence.  Some training available but spraying experience preferred Live on farm - cottage available We are looking for someone to join our team on a 1000 acre family farm of mainly arable with some beef and sheep.  This is a varied role including all aspects of arable work, basic checking and feeding of livestock, machinery maintenance, farm maintenance, fencing, etc.  Good time management and the ability to work alone as well as part of the team are essential.  We are a small team so the right personality will be important.  We are a family run farm who value home life as well as work life. We all pull together and work extra hours during busy times and staff take turns doing the weekend cattle feeding.  Sometimes weather conditions require weekend work, such as spraying if it’s been windy all week or harvesting when rain is due on Monday.  We appreciate willingness to work at these times and to schedule holidays around the work and each other.  We look after our machinery well and take pride in our work.  We are hoping to find someone who has a similar approach to life.  We do need someone with good field work skills but will consider some training for the right person.  We would prefer someone with spraying experience as it will be one of the main responsibilities of the position. Experience required: Arable Work:  This should include spraying (PA1 &2), good tractor skills, cultivation, drilling, record keeping, combine operation & telehandler certificate. Livestock Management / Care:  Feeding & checking of cattle.  Basic sheep checking. General Farm Maintenance:  Chainsaw operation, welding, basic building or carpentry skills etc. would be an advantage but not essential. Machinery maintenance:  Mechanical knowledge preferable; will need to perform regular maintenance, assess any repairs needed, fix where possible and liaise with outside technicians if necessary. Qualifications GCSE  C or above or equivalent in English and Maths Full UK driving licence + Part E (Trailer towing if not covered by your standard licence) Tractor, Sprayer, Telehandler, Chainsaw certificates. If a suitable candidate is missing some certificates, courses could be made available. Start date flexible, we'd prefer someone to be here long enough to get to know the place a bit before we get into T0's. Ideally someone who wants long term employment.

Oil central heating, part double glazed, coal fired rayburn, open fireplace (can collect logs from farm), garage, brick shed with light and power. One field away from the workshop where we meet every morning - very convenient commute ; )

Local shops, pubs and bus to Oxford/London can be walked to but car would be sensible. Couple of primary schools and secondary school within 2 miles. Thame is about 9 miles away which has a larger selection of shops, cafes, take-aways, swimming pool, etc. Amazon and online food stores find us no problem! Broadband is up to watching catchup TV / Netflix etc. Mobile signal not great but better than some areas. Easy place to live as most of what you need is nearby but houses are a few fields from the road so it's quiet.
