We are looking for a feeder/tractor driver for our dairy unit in West Dorset.  The job involves the daily feeding of 680 cows using a JCB Telehandler and large Kuhn Feeder wagon and, in addition during the winter housing period, feeding youngstock and associated work.  Further tasks would include using the JCB to muck out, bale/staw stacking and load trailers and spreaders together with other tractor based tasks required on a dairy and arable farm.

As we currently grow 625 acres of maize we require a flexible person to work the long hours when required to get the job done.  Feeding experience is essential and we are looking for a clean and tidy operator, who can show atention to detail and takes pride in what they do. The person must be able to work alone but also as part of a team and some mechanical knowledge for minor repairs would be advantageous.

The job operates on a 4 on/4 off rota and comes with a rent free house, pension, 20 days holiday and a competitive salary.

The two bed house is in a rural location half a mile from the dairy. The nearby town of Bridport is a 10 minute drive away with shops, schools and pubs. The larger towns of Dorchester and Yeovil are 30/40 minutes away.
