Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Lecturer in Agriculture at Brooksby Melton College with experience in livestock based activities preferred.



We are looking to recruit a lecturer to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment in Agriculture to learners of all abilities across a wide range of vocational courses. You will be required to contribute to the planning, delivery, assessment, evaluation and design of the courses.



We would like to hear from applicants who have experience of working in agriculture.   You will also have a minimum of a degree in a relevant vocational area.



You will be self-motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, confident and proactive with excellent communication skills.

A successful candidate who doesn’t hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) will be appointed to a ‘Trainee Lecturer’ role. The salary attached to this role will be £22,282 - £24,351 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The candidate will be required to undertake, and be supported through, relevant teaching and vocational qualifications, and on achievement of QTS will be promoted to the qualified Lecturer role.
