Other equipment experience

I am currently operating a 2014 Claas Lexion 760TT with a 1050 header for a 2800 estate in Essex and attended a drivers course at Claas UK this season. We are planning to finish harvest within the next couple of weeks due to an extra early start and having more than sufficient combining capacity. My current employer is happy to be a reference. Sadly there isn't enough tractors on the farm for me to have one so I will be out of work. I am interested in many different roles including combining, cultivations, baling and haulage work to name a few. I hope to be available before the date I have specified in this advert. More references are available on request. Am willing to travel for the right opportunity.

Farming background

I have experience from the UK and Australia. In the UK I have worked farms varying in size and structure. My main role was as a tractor driver and general farm worker in Norfolk on a 6000 acre family run unit where my duties included haulage, secondary cultivations, manure application, grassland and estate work and machinery maintenance. I have experience with Greenstar, Trimble and CNH Trimble autoguidence systems. Here I primarily used John Deere tractors but am familiar with other brands. In Australia I operated many combines and other harvesting machinery of varying ages and sizes from John Deere, Case IH and Macdon. I also spent 2 seasons drilling with 12m and 18m drills and articulated tractors, a season mechanical grape harvesting and also operated 2 trailer road train lorries and chaser bins. Australia also taught me how to fit in quickly within a team, as I would often arrive at jobs in busy periods and need to adapt quickly, and the need for good communication and team working skills. I have spent a lot of time swathing and combining crops that are early generation seed crops which has given me a keen attention to detail and high standards of working. I am also not afraid of hard work or using a broom and shovel as shown by previous experience with livestock work.

Hobbies

I enjoy playing guitar, attending concerts, track racing, off road vehicles and mechanics.
