Lambing assistant on an 800 ewe flock for two seasons. Assisting my father with lambing and year round husbandry of his 200 ewe flock, as well as calving and year round husbandry of his 40 head Angus suckler herd. I also aid the upkeep and maintance of the farm, assisting with fencing tasks and mechanical repairs.

Farming background

Home Experience: Assisting my father with a range of husbandry tasks on his 40 cow suckler herd and 200 ewe flock. 2011-12: Assisted a local Agricultural engineer for both summers and a winter (college holidays). 2013: Spent 7 months operating a combine and HGV'S on the American Harvest. 2014: Spent 4/5 months working for a contracting company in New Zealand, harvesting maize grain and outdoor grown tomatoes. 2015: Returned to America to complete a second season, running a combine for the same company as in '13. 2016: Took on part time/seasonal work at a mixed livestock/arable and vegetable farm local to Herefordshire. 2016 onwards - Attending University

Hobbies

I have previously been active member of YFC, before Univeristy commitments, competeing in stage performances, tug of war and fencing competitions. I take an interest in the countryside and U.K wildlife, this has probably developed from time spent shooting/fishing in my teens. Recenlty competed in a Rugby 7's tournament for a social team formed of members of my course.
