I take a great interest in the family farm and spend my time rearing and showing Aberdeen Angus cattle having made a trip over to Aberdeen with the young farmer’s society. I not only rely on University to provide me with the skills and knowledge I require for the workplace. in my own time I complete many personal professional development courses including City and Guilds Level 3 Award in The Fundamental Principles and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems, (IOSH) Institution of Occupational Safety and Health Award, High speed training Environmental Awareness, The Level 2 Award in Understanding Enterprise ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management). I am very familiar with environmental engineering, renewable technologies and how to make business sustainable with a lot of my studies completed around the area of wind turbines and boilers.  My degree has not only provided me with skills and knowledge in the areas of the environment and engineering but in the areas of business, management and entrepreneurship, I understand to manage or run your own business this takes dedication and flexibility.
