Home Farm – Beef & Sheep • Keep about 250 store beef cattle, mostly store heifers and finishing bulls for beef • Keep 100 ewes and 1000+ store lambs as well • Experience in both lambing and calving our own stock • Responsible for maintaining stock’s health, e.g. pairing feet, dosing/vaccinations, clipping sheep’s wool etc. • Machinery experience of telehandler, diet feeder and tractors including using trailers, slurry tankers, sowers, field rollers, harrowers and bail wrappers. • We harvest our own silage each year, 2 cuts of 70 acres. • Do all our own land management and up-keep including fencing. Own Stock – Finishing Bull Beef • Buy in drop bull calves at 12 weeks for slaughter at 16 months • Wein off milk onto an intensive feeding regime aimed for maximum growth and weight gain. • Buying my own stock helps develop my judgement of livestock • Builds my knowledge and understand of calf market Agnews Dairy Farm, Caledon • Part time farm labourer • Dairy herd of 400+ cows • My jobs include feeding livestock, milking cows, slurring, drawing silage and general farm work

Own Side-line Business – MMG Valeting • Stared valeting from my own personal interest in cars, as a hobby I started valeting friends and family cars but as my reputation grew I was able to expand this into a side-line business. • Managing this business includes responsibilities for income and profit, advertising, and expenditure, sourcing the best products available. • Covers cars, vans and machinery including our own farm machinery Anything social or michanicing i enjoy in my own time.
