Within my 4 years in the farming industry I have gained a large amount of knowledge within the equipment and machinery side to achieve and get the best results for the jobs I carry out. During this time, I obtained experience with 120-200hp tractors, John Deere w540 combine with a 18ft header, grain carting, relief spraying, ploughing, muck spreading, mowing, tedding, raking, hedge cutting, and cultivating. Other livestock experience

Aldbourne I was a part-time farm assistant during my college years however this changed to full time once I finished my courses. My role was to help with the livestock husbandry of 600 Scottish black face ewes and a small suckler herd including tasks such as bedding, feeding, electric fencing, disbudding and castrating with rings. I also helped during the lambing season which I thoroughly enjoyed. Currently at Farm Winchester I work alongside a team carrying out the day to day husbandry of 4000 store lambs which are based on different farms across the Hampshire/ Wiltshire countryside, approximately 500 store cattle which we buy in as calf’s from local dairy farms and the follow them through until the finished product. I believe it’s important that the livestock should have the best welfare and environment to achieve the best products.
