In uk I’ve worked with a 300 head, sand cubicle with a 10/10 fullword parlor. Milking heard health, drug administration, record keeping. Moving of dairy cattle and stock bulls. Helped with the pd and tb testing. Dealt with lots of LDA’s (rolling cattle for vet to toggle). Weighing the beef cattle and moving them between fields. Calving and all the nightmares (prolapse, “C” section).

I left school and joined and electrical company where I progressed through an apprenticeship, I moved in to burglar alarms and cctv. I took up taxi driving to supplement my income as I had children. Mid life crisis hits (I’m single now) so I went to Australia. There I found the dairy industry. I learnt basic dairy farming in Australia on a 15/30 swing over with 220 head.
