May 2017 – present A&G&H Jones (family farm) , N.Wales Currently working on my family’s 350 acre beef and sheep farm in N.Wales, where I’m also raising my own dairy heifers. April 2009 – April 2017 Padog Farms LTD, Pentrefoelas, N.Wales (450 cows) Farm Manager and holding a 10% share of the livestock – responsible for the planning and management of 450 spring calving cows on a grass based system. Responsible also for a small team of staff. Jan 2008 – April 2009 Cefn Amwlch, Pwllheli, N.Wales (900 cows) Herdsman – assisting with the day to day running of the farm and milking of the spring calving herd. Rearing of young stock. May 2007 – Jan 2008 and Sept 2001 – April 2002 F&C Vogels, Timboon, Vic, Australia (1000 cows) Assisting in all aspects of the running of the all-year-round calving herd. Dec 2006 – May 2007 Country Practice Trust, Taupo, N.Zealand (2800 cows) Milking and general farm work. June 2003 - May 2004 Bruce Trotter, Invercargill (780 cows) Milking, general farm work (including tractor work) and calf rearing. June 1994 – Aug 2001 Working for various farmers and farm contractors in my local area, including my family’s farm. Duties included relief milking, sheep shearing, harvest work, tractor work, welding.
