Farming background

I have always been around farms, from when I was very young my Grandad had a small dairy farm and I would always be out helping him wherever I could. Most of my family have always been involved in farming one way or another. My Mam and Stepdad are sheep farmers where for many years I have helped out with general farm jobs, field work and lambing, and I feel I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge from my Stepdad about the general welfare of sheep and breeding. I have also worked away from home doing odd days for other local farmers to gain further experience. I am currently employed with a small arable and beef farm, where they also have a contracting business as well. I am involved with all aspects of their farming business and they are able to trust me and rely on me to do jobs efficiently and to a high standard. I hope to be able to further expand my knowledge and keep growing and learning in all aspects of farming and continue to develop and better myself wherever I can.

Hobbies

Most of my time is taken up with my work and my work is also my hobby as I had a small holding of cattle and sheep as well. Now i like to lend a hand on my step dads sheep farm when i can but work is always my main priority. I do also enjoy going out clay pigeon shooting when I can.
