Farming background

I come from a small suckler farm in county Longford, Ireland. I am a qulaified maintenance fitter. 2016-date, I have worked for local contractors part time. Main duties being drawing/carting silage as well as slurry and muck spreading, with some mowing and raking at times. 2016-2017. I completed a year in Pallaskenry agricultural college doing an agricultural mechanisation course. Here I learned the basics about agricultural machinery and gained some experience such as ploughing and using basic gps. 2017- I spent a season working as a tractor driver harvesting milled peat for power generation. 2018-date. I started my apprenticeship in January 2018 and I am currently serving a 2 year contract given to me in June 2022. My duties here include maintenance and repairs on tractors(mostly John Deere and New Holland) and tracked machines(hitachi excavators and CAT dozers). I also have experience fabricating and milling and turning.
