At Clova farm I supported the farm manager with the routine care of livestock, both cattle and sheep. At Greenburn Farm I have supported an experienced shepherd in general management of indoor lambing with a flock of 900 Scotch Mules, assisting with difficult births, performing health checks on newborn lambs, administering medication to lambs and ewes as required, monitor sheep in lambing shed, identify and problems and solve as appropriate. Also oversee postnatal care of ewes and Lambs, which may involve assisting lamb suck, stomach tubing, docking, castration or fostering lambs to another ewe

I have just completed my studies for my BSc(hons) Agriculture at Royal Agricultural University, during my course I have gained both theoretical and practical experience in agriculture. Whilst completing my Honours degree dissertation, I proved my planning, organisational, research and computer skills. I am a conscientious worker who takes pride in my work and puts great emphasis on punctuality and reliability. I am passionate about animal welfare and strive to ensure that all animals under my care receive quality good agricultural practices. In my previous roles as a farm worker at both Greenburn and Clova farms I have been responsible for herds of both sheep and cattle, I am aware of the importance of Health and Safety in the agricultural workplace. I learned how to work as part of a team and on my own, and can relying on my own initiative to problem solve. I worked long shifts throughout lambing and harvesting and am fully aware of the hard work and long hours in the agricultural workplace, also being flexible in my working rota. I am a very practical person with a good idea of how things work and how to fix them, and I can communicate well with other. I think well on my feet and I always stick to a deadline. I enjoyed my work on my parent's smallholding and took excellent care of their small flock, including daily egg collecting, feed and watering, cleaning and worming. I am confident that although I have limited experience, I am quick and dedicated to learn. I am confident I can integrate my previous experience and expertise to this post to quickly obtain any certification and extend my skill sets

5 years of lambing and sheep careering academic holidays, I had a work placement on potato/arable/beef farm I have also assisted my mother in the running of a smallholding, planting and harvesting fruit and vegetables and looking after small flock of chickens and ducks


I enjoy many outdoor sports, especially Clay and game shooting, I am an experienced off road driver and I played rugby at Uni
