Night checks of cows due to calf, monitoring calving - alerting head stockman if assisted needed. Tagging, Vaccinating, spraying insecticides general cattle husbandry.  Keeping the crush area clean and in good order.  Handling heifers and bulls in the show ring, parading cattle.  Getting them show ready.

In the U.K. after college attended University for one year, made the decision not to continue with the course. Worked as a kitchen hand alongside a seasonal job as a polo groom to save money for travelling. Worked away in Australia for 2years, travelled independently. have worked on farms although mainly been a professional horse groom. Used to working long hours, working independently and using initiative. Previous positions 3 Months Black Horse Lodge Western Riding school Teaching young children basics of riding Care of 13 horses Raking arena, weed spraying, mowing grass. Care of riding school when owners away. 5 Months Head Polo Groom with Morella Agriculture Caring for 30 horses Ordering feed, scheduling vets/farriers. Supervising 2 staff members Up keep of horse fitness, health and wellbeing. Grooming away at competitons 3/4 months Rosehill Santa Gertrudis Stud. Tractor driving (mowing hay, raking, ploughing, slashing and rolling). Loading hay customers trucks/vehicles Checking stock, assisting in the yards, moving cattle, tagging, vaccinating. Spraying weeds (small sprayer), fencing. Cutting Chaff Attending Cattle shows and sales to promote bulls. Running farm when owners were on holiday.
