Farming background

2017 - Current 'Arable operator' Farm CM4  - Job roles included: Daily maintenance of machinery as well as all arable operations from ploughing and cultivating to loading up to 30 lorries a day with loading shovels and telehandlers. I have good workshop skills and was able to work well in a team during harvest where I worked up to 110 hours a week to keep up with the workload. For harvest, I mainly operated a Fendt 724 but also had demo Fendt 1050 and 939 during the beginning of cultivations to keep up with the combines. After the demo tractors were returned I used a Challenger 775E and New Holland T7 270 for operations such as ploughing and mowing. In the past month, I have been spraying and helping the farm finish the drilling. 2013 - 2017 ‘Poultry farm worker' - Farm Milverton - Job roles included: Daily maintenance and checks around the 50,000 bird free range chicken unit as well as being responsible for the welfare of the animals. I also helped with machinery related task such as; Hauling muck and trailer work, Cleaning out the sheds with the telehandler and topping the range areas through the summer. 2013 - 2014 ‘Stud Farm Machinery operator’ - Job roles included: Helped now and then to chain harrow & Roll horse paddocks as well as using the loader tractor to clean out the sheds and then spread the muck on the fields using a small side discharge spreader. Also helped out with grain carting and small-scale groundwork such as cultivations
