Devonshire poultry limited (July 2016- October 2016) I worked for Devonshire poultry for a brief time in order to gain experience from different aspects of the farming community. Whilst I was here I cared for over 150,000 chicken at a time following the cycle of 2 crops. I completed many routine tasks across 4 different sites managed by devonshire poultry. Yellingham farm (2013-current) I currently work at Yellingham farm, I am mainly involved in working with the small flock of sheep when I am required. I help with lambing and other routine practices which need to be carried out on the flock. The farm is also home to a small herd of beef bullocks which are winter housed in the old dairy barn in the yard, the cattle are out grazing for most of the year and therefore I have had minimal interaction with them. Mole valley farmers (June 2015- August 2016) I worked for Mole Valley every Saturday, down in the yard office where I sell mainly feed products, sort out deliveries for customers and advice customers on what feed they should be using. Due to my agricultural knowledge I was able to provide farmers with extra information and answer any questions which they had. R I Persey Dairy farm (June- September 2015) I worked on this dairy farm for my work experience over summer. I wold arrive at 7am and help finish off milking the herd of 350 cattle. Once all the cows had been milked I had the duty of ensuring that all the calves had been fed and bedded down.
