I have been an active member of Hope Valley YFC, competing in stock judging and fencing, winning the fencing as English champions at fencing Highly experienced in 4x4 and quad biking. I am used to hilly ground with tractor and vehicles.

Marital status

I am married with two sons, Joe, 18, and Louis, 15. My wife, Rachael has a lifetime of equestrian experience, as both a horse trainer, and a riding instructor. She has ridden dressage to Prix St George, and spent many years as a Pony Club instructor. She is also a very competent lamber.

Farming background

Recently managing 2000 ewes and 300 suckler cows on an upland farm in Mid Wales. Nantycordy Farm (Powys) Ltd Full Autonomy for day to day management and planning, including purchasing and marketing. 8 years at this position. Previously 12 years managing 60 suckler s and 800 ewes on an upland farm IN the same village,Treboeth Farm Ltd again with full control and budgeting. Before this, experience with dairy herd management, and as a self employed fencing and silaging contractor around Hope Valley and the surrounding areas. Highly qualified chainsaw operator, qualified to NPTC CS 14, multiple hung up trees. Very confident sheep dog trainer and handler. Fully competent in all grassland tractor work, and crop establishment.

Hobbies

Outside work, I am very involved with my local rugby club, Luctonians RFC, and have coached all age groups from U6, to U16s. I now manage the Colts squad (U19s) I train my own sheep dogs as and when needed and really enjoy doing this. Family is important and we spend whatever free time I have together. I enjoy Rugby, golf and shooting.
