I am a member of NIFFA (Northern Ireland Flower and Foliage Association) and attend regular meetings/workshops at Greenmount campus (CAFRE) alongside fellow growers. I have completed a Level 4 agronomy qualification to help mevdevelop a sound understanding of agronomic practices. My aim is to gain practical agricultural experience to extend my knowledge and skill set with the hope of becoming an agronomist.

Farming background

Assisting my father with grassland duties such as fertiliser spreading, rolling, topping and hay making on a Leyland. I completed a short placement with Joseph Morton's Banbridge shadowing their team of agronomists on crop walking and farm visits. I also shadowed the technical sales team learning about various chemicals and agricultural products. I have been crop walking in my local area for almost year, developing my knowledge of arable crop diseases and pests.
