Responsibilities include share of the milking both AM and PM, general tractor and forklift work, basic arable operations (carting, rolling), animal husbandry and fertility, monitoring health of cattle, management of calf rearing (ear tagging, disbudding, vaccinating), office duties (entering milk recording data and dealing with cattle passports) and many other general farm tasks. Key Achievements: • Successful pregnancy diagnosis from inseminated cattle, helping to continue the fertility of the herd which helped remove some pressure away from my manager for the responsibility of AI. • Implemented monthly mobility scoring to improve awareness of lame cattle, all data processed using NMR Herd Companion service. • Knowledge of Alpro, Interherd and NMR software cattle management systems.
