Farming backgroundHaving obtained a first class Honours degree from the Royal Agricultural University in International Equine and Agricultural management, I then gained valuable practical experience in the areas of agriculture, forestry, conservation and animal husbandry. I have experience working with various livestock including cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry, both rare and commercials breeds in the UK and abroad. Initially I worked within the equine industry, but my interests spread to agriculture during my time at the Royal Agricultural College, where I spent a 20 week work placement at the National Trust Wimpole Farm, working with sheep, pigs and poultry. Following working for the National Trust I travelled to Australia to gain further experience in the agricultural industry, first working on a sheep farm for wool production and later on a cattle station for beef. Having having returned to England, I am currently working on a Welsh Hill sheep farm and I am looking to continue to work in the UK.
HobbiesMy interests outside of work are sports (cycling cricket and hockey), hiking (having recently climbed Kilimanjaro) and photography. I also enjoyed several adventurous activities while traveling (Australia, New Zealand), but I am planning to settle permanently back in the UK.
