Employment Working Farm Manager 23th September 2016 to 29rd September 2016-Redundant 3 Months Notice Farm sold due to J E Everett retiring - I was transferred on TUPE to new owners. Made redundant on 29th September by new owners Duke of Somerset after they had requested that they wanted to keep me on. Employment Working Farm Manager 1st May 1995 to 23rd September 2016 I was responsible for the day to day running of the farm and livestock of 120 suckler cows, including the herd health, preparing for stock sale at the local Frome Market and preparing pedigree stock for local shows. Liaison with the contractor for the arable enterprise and managing grassland and producing silage and hay. Cutting all the farm hedges and general maintenance, supervision of all property, including key holder and alarm contact for the farm house as the employers were only present at the farm at weekends and would be away on holiday for weeks at a time. Tractor Driver/Stockman  1985 - 1995  Warminster Wiltshire My responsibilities were for the suckler herd (140 cows) commences from October with winter feeding. This consists of rationing the feed to maintain the herd’s condition while ensuring the feed lasts through the winter period. My duties also included calving the cows from February to May which involved long hours observing and assisting with calving’s and maintaining calf’s health including dehorning and deworming various stock. From May when the cattle were turned out, I would begin tractor driving which included silage making, harvesting, ploughing, drilling, hedge cutting and relief combine driving. During this period I would also run the corn dryer. I had been used to working on my own initiative and I assisted with the day to day running of the farm.
