Numerous seasons lambing around my local area, doing general husbandry tasks for smaller farmers without staff. also worked at a turkey farm for a month, feeding, checking and maintaining 10,000 bronze and white free range and barn reared birds. Lambed 1500 Welsh Mules in Powys, overseeing up to 800 ewes and hoggs in the lambing shed at a time. Lambed 1200 mule and Suffolk x ewes in 18 days in Gloucestershire. Cattle work at home with a suckler herd of 100 simmentals, rearing all young stock until about 18 months to be sold as stores.

Live on a mixed family farm with 300 sheep, a suckler herd of 100 Simmentals and 800 acres of Arable land. Also do 750 acres of contracting including spraying, combining and drilling. Worked on a sheep milking farm with 800 sheep, milking up to 600 at a time.

Hobbies

I am a member of my local young farmers club holding a role as vice chairman. I also play rugby for my local team.
