Operation of most makes of tractors up to 300 HP, use of loaders including loadall, pivot steer from small to larger loading shovels, skidsteers and tractor loaders, lots of general trailer work including muck leading grain and silage leading bale hauling etc, various cultivations, slurry and muck spreading, quad bike and argo cat experience,use of several types of feeder wagon including Keenan and jf stoll machines.

Many years lambing including lone nights and working with pedigree flocks, most sheep vaccination dosing tagging and associated tasks, dairy herd vaccination and freeze brand/tail trimming tagging adult and young stock, dehorning calves to cows with relevant equipment, large scale rearing of calves especially heifers replacements for large dairy herd, routine and one off treatment s, TB testing of large herds, working along side others (vets for genomic hair sampling),running a feed trial following protocol's needed, working with pigs in doors and out doors on breeding units and fattening sites, so know how attention to detail matters.

Farming background

Mainly self employed for last 15 years, working on various sized units/holdings from small family run units helping out for odd afternoons to full time on large units with 20 plus staff, been intensive and extensive hill units, so am used to various situations as they arise, and adapting as necessary, and although a wide knowledge has been gained am very happy and willing to ask for help advice if need to, although not from a farming back ground have always had a genuine interest in agriculture and the country side, and think we can alter help them accordingly,.

Hobbies

Have small flock of sheep, and few cows on some owned land that has taken many years to build up so understand cost implications of many things, is more than a hobby, has to pay for itself, but is also longer term ongoing project to.
