25 year old, fit competent machinery operator with lots of experience both in the arable, beef and dairy sectors. I am currently working as a surveyor for a company and I am also looking for weekend/relief work with an arable/dairy farmer or contractor . I have lots of experience both with machinery in the UK and at home, with mainly JD/fendt/fast trac and deutz tractors, tele-handlers and loading shovels, round/square balers, mowers ect and all aspects of agriculture and have previously worked in the UK with an arable farmer and with a contractor during the summer months while in attending college. I have a degree in Agri - Science and have previously worked as a Agricultural Inspector with the Irish food board and with the Scottish government as an Agricultural Officer.

Other equipment experienceI was born and raised on a suckler/beef and sheep farm in the West of Ireland. From a young age I learned how to work this lucrative farming enterprise. I am highly skilled in feeding livestock, milking cows, assisting with calving/lambing, sheep shearing, administering drugs, bringing livestock to mart/factory, and moving livestock from field to field across busy roadways or to slatted houses for the winter months. With regard to general husbandry I am adept at maintaining and repairing farm houses/stores, farm machinery, hedges, and feeding troughs. I gained experience in operating all farm machinery, and grassland management from initial ploughing of a field to harvesting the crops in autumn/making silage. While working with an Agricultural Contractor I learned how to operate milking machines and other dairy processing equipment on dairy farms as a relief milker and also learned how to operate a 16-tonne Hitachi tracked excavator. We worked together with local farmers on all aspects of their grassland management including silage making, fertilising and harvesting. Working with Teagasc enhanced my knowledge of all different types of farming in Ireland and how to gather, analyse and compile information and documentation in order to produce thorough and accurate reports and recommendations.
