Driven mainly case tractors, mainly around the 140hp bracket. My normal tractor work includes driving the feeder wagon, rolling, chain harrowing, power harrowing, corn, silage and bale carting, muck spreading and tanking. Had experience on both rigid and pivot steer telehandlers class scorpion and jcb 320s.

Been a relief milker since I was 16, working on two large 400 plus cows morning afternoons, and the odd night milking, and more recently was an assistant herdsmen doing the tmr feeding, calf rearing and covering the milking when herdsmen off, for the past two years, I have been a stockman rearing the young stock from weaned to calving age,doing the tmr feeding for the dairy. Also undertake the vet visit in the herdsmens absense, with routine fertility visits, and also with sick cow health such as LDA.

Farming background

Been on a dairy based farms since I was tiny, but started working part time at 13, helping with calving and strimmer etc on a large dairy farm in south west Dorset. Once I left school took the job on full time then went to college to study my NDA. Since 2006 been working on a mixed arable farm initially as feeder man / relief milker, now based at the young stock and do relief feeding and the odd milking.

Hobbies

Currently spend time with my children, and part of a local skittles team. Enjoy doing a basic vegatable garden.
