GENERAL FARM WORK REQUIRED.  I am looking for a general farm worker position to help me get back into farming however I have been out of farming for 9 years and wish make to a return to farming. I am based in Surrey with a full driving license and currently working fulltime in security, I have previous experience in dairying, sheep and beef.

Experience in diet feeding, grain & silage carting, slurry spreading, mowing, hay making, field draining, peat cutting.

Milking in 20:40 swing over parlour and 14/14 low line. Calving and lambing, castrating, dehorning, medicine applications both organic and non organic. Cattle clipping. Small amount Hoof trimming. Selection for slaughter. Fencing and hedging. Creating wildlife borders. Beef rearing, sheep rearing.

Farming background

Farm hand on a dairy farm Northern Ireland.   I studied and worked on the farm, did everything from milking to calving and roof repair to tractor maintenance, slurry spreading to silaging and grain carting. De-horning, castration, calf rearing, bull beef rearing, medical treatments for prevention and cure of ailments such as fluke and worm treatments, milk fever and staggers treatment. Sycronisation for artificial insemination. Cattle clipping both heifers and of course milking cows, I have been responsible for milking while the family were at weddings and a like so can be trusted to get on with the job on my own.


Relaxing by growing vegetables or walking our dog or woodworking.
