Farming background

I currently live on our family dairy farm having helped out ever since I could. Through this I have developed a lot of skills including basic tractor driving, calving, milking, AI'ing, treating ill cattle and also I have showed our Holstein cattle a lot. Last year I worked on a beef and sheep farm lambing a doing a small amount of cattle work and lambing 4,000 Llyn ewes. This developed my lambing skills being able to competently lamb ewes, pen them up, treat down ewes and lambs, aid lambs suckling, strip the ewe and tube the lambs. For the past 2 years I have also done some part time work on a local open farm. Through this job I learnt a large range of jobs completing tasks from lamb feeding to sheep racing to kidding goats. Also at college I have completed farm duties including 4:30am milking for a week and 7am jobs feeding. Also you have completed night lambing duties at college.
