120 pedigree Texel sheep 30 of which in lamb and 40 Texel pedigree gimmers.  I also help with the poultry clearing sheds and checking the chickens. I've worked for many different people over the busy lambing period as well has throughout the year when drenching or heptivacing. As well as helping local farmers with TB testing. I have worked for one of the biggest beef producers in my area doing day to day jobs such as feeding and bedding, as well as sorting and injecting and clipping cattle.

Farming background

I live on a mixed sheep and arable farm, we run a flock of pedigree Texel sheep and grow 150 acres of arable. Currently working for a local mixed farm where they have 6 broiler chicken sheds, an AD plant, 600 head milking herd on a New Zealand system as well as doing 400 acres of grass silage, 150 acres of maize for the AD plant and 200 acres of arable for the chickens. I also do seasonal work for a local contractor. I Do all the main tractor driving operations as well as helping with the chickens, AD plant and Dairy when needed. I've worked for a local Dairy farm when they were calving doing all the feeding and bedding also well as helping with calving and feeding of calves.

Hobbies

Help run our family syndicate pheasant shoot. Work in my workshop repairing local farmers equipment as well as our own.
