Farming background

I would class myself as a new entrant although I used to work on farms when I was younger. I am not from a farming background but I have always loved working in the countryside and I have been trying to get back into some sort of rural work for a while now. I have been out of farming for a while now and I am working as a self employed electrician on and off at present. I hope to one day learn some new skills which I lack to enable me to pursue my farming interests. I am looking for a position within a forward thinking friendly farm business who can provide me the opportunity to train and gain skills in ploughing, drilling and land based operations. I have had experience with the telehandler and leading corn with tractor, but I could do with a refresh. I'm hoping to undertake some short courses in this area but the colleges in Yorkshire are so poor at providing specialist skills in machinery such as ploughing and drilling I think the best place to learn is on the job.
