I won the McClellan Silver Award for the best prospectus farmer during my studies at the Royal Agricultural University in 2015

I hold a number current training awards such as the, forklift certificate, PA 1 and 2, NROSO registered and trailer test. I am currently raising funds to work towards completing BASIS and FACTS training, as I believe this will help decision making out in the field and at times of necessary crop husbandry. I am computer literate, being familiar with a variety of software plus Microsoft products enabling myself to design and construct spreadsheets with formulations. This being a crucial part of my university course, helping to manage a farm business through all aspects from machinery work rates to gross margins and financial projections.

I have grown up on a farm in the heart of Cheshire, and have had a passion for agriculture since an early age, with the family mainly involved in the dairy and arable sector. However, I am looking to further my career with a passion for farming, through the management aspect, though still being a key player and getting stuck into the hard graft when needed whilst managing a team. I have the drive and motivation to undertake this role and the ability to conduct any task thrown at me.

2006-(2011) - Own Garden Maintenance Business – mowing lawns & tidying gardens during the summer. August 2010 – Tractor driver for an Agricultural Contractor in the Isle of Man, helping with general jobs such as Harvesting grain, grain carting, grass mowing, grass tedding and rowing up, baling and bale stacking. July 2011 - Operating Agricultural and Horticultural Machinery. Worked for two weeks at Wrekin College doing mowing, leaf removal and machine repairs to tractors and maintenance procedures on mowing vehicles. December 2011 – Food Service at Chester Racecourse Limited over Christmas for extra pocket money. Worked in a team under tremendous pressure and coped very well. June –August 2012 – Tractor driver for B S Parkers Agricultural Contractor in Cheshire operating in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire, coped very well working with a team. June –September 2013 – Tractor driver for B S Parkers Agricultural Contractor in Cheshire operating in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. June –August 2014 – Harvest worker at Calmsden Farms, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. 2,000 acres of arable Operating Fendt, Massey Ferguson Tractors and JCB telehandlers. October 2014 – February 2016 –Part time assistant stockman and tractor operator on a dairy farm, in charge of feeding, bedding down cows and scraping out of passageways.
