I currently work on my family farm in South Wales. we also have beef and sheep, Limousin cattle and Texel X sheep. We have around 800 breeding ewes and finish all the lambs, most sold straight to the slaughter house, deadweight. We also run a suckler herd of 40 cows. My duties have included; feeding, worming, vaccinating, spraying, weighing, foot trimming, lambing, tagging, tailing and castrating, shearing and wool rolling, checking stock, calving, dehorning calves, handling cattle for TB testing. I have a full driving license and towing license, some tractor experience including turning, chain harrowing, muck spreading and spraying. I have passed my Pesticides PA1 + PA2 certificates and have also passed an ATV and chainsaw course. I am a self-motivated and positive individual, who enjoys work both individually and as part of a team. Having been back on the family farm for the past 5 years since leaving school. I'm also an active member of my local young farmers club and take part in a range of competitions. Also worked as a lamber indoor and out.
