The wealth of experience achieved in construction, together with my practical hands-on approach has subsequently been utilised to its full. Most recently being new build grain stores, refurbishments to both commercial and residential properties, that has included a new enterprise to current Estate of holiday cottages. From this in-house approach, I have achieved a higher quality standard, made substantial savings by utilise more efficient local trades and further saved the employer the usual 10% management fees, plus I manage the CDM throughout the projects. I have first-hand working knowledge with energy derived from solar panels, wind turbines, bio-mass boilers and most recently ground source heat pump systems.

After achieving a formal education at Writtle Agricultural College, my career has first and foremost been within agriculture in both the livestock and arable sectors. You will also note from my CV, a period within the construction industry, which you may see as a further advantage to the position. In brief, I have extensive knowledge, with very much a ‘hands-on’ approach in the growing of combinable and root crops in a range of soil types and conditions. My knowledge and interest in agronomy has been further enhanced by achieving Foundation BASIS and FACTS. If so required, With maintaining of all financial, arable and livestock records, my office administration and IT skills are such that I have good competent experience working with both Microsoft Office and Farmplan's software Business Manager, Gatekeeper, Sheep and Cattle Manager. Therefore, ensuring proficient record keeping providing good financial and farm management is achieved and that all statutory cross compliance is met for legislation within all schemes entered in are complied with. Ability to compile and present information in a professional manner to enable reports, management schedules and articulate in presenting business proposal etc. as required.
