Materials handling knowledge of moving/loading bales, tote bags, manure, soil pallets etc . I have used a lot of different makes of tractors and used them doing different tasks from muck spreading, bale/grain carting, mowing, cultivators, rolling and ploughing.

I achieved my PA1/2 spray certificate and have experience using a Househam 24 meter sprayer.

I have used a range of telehandlers to load trailers and articulated lorries with grain, bales, manure and palletised goods.

I use GPS for accurate application of digestate, also using flow-meters for the correct cubic metres per hectare within environmental land management, this is applied through an umbilical dribble bar system.

I have worked for a haulage company, using articulated flat bed and curtain sided trailers to transport large scale construction materials.

Other livestock experience

Following completion of my GCSEs I attended Caythorpe and Riseholme agricultural collages, broadening my knowledge and experience in all aspects of animal husbandry and crop production. I have spent 22 years working as stockperson, assistant manager and unit manager of intensive breeding and finishing units within pig production in Norfolk, the East Midlands and North Shropshire. During this time I achieved the BPEX Pig Unit Manager of the Year award.

2023 - present - Field Person, applying digestate to agricultural land. Operating machinery, e.g. tractor, pumps, compressors. Using GPS, tractor attachments. Completing paperwork for farmers, environment agency and recycling records.

2021 - 2023 - HGV class 1 driver - transporting large construction loads across the UK.

2019 - 2021 - Self-employed agricultural contracting - working on arable farms, tasks including cultivation, relief spray operator, grain store management, tree surgery and machinery maintenance.

2008 - 2019 - Pig Unit Manager - breeding & finishing unit in North Shropshire, using computerised feeding, weighing and recording system. Responsible for staff management and day-to-day running of the unit. Also supporting arable department with grain/straw/slurry carting, cultivation work, mill and mix. Grounds maintenance work completed also.
