I live and work on my parents farm in Cornwall. My Dad used to be a dairy farmer and I have a small amount of experience milking. We now run suckler beef and I help with dung spreading, worming,tb testing, moving stock and winter feeding/bedding etc. 2012 summer i working on an arable farm that grow 2000 acres of potatoes and 800 acres of winter wheat and barley for Philp Roger. This last summer I worked on a farm in cambridge that grow 1300 arces of cereal crops. My main jobs were corn carting, cultivation and I was also taught how to operate the combine and drill for Peter Sharpley.

I was educated at Helston Community College up to year 11 and gained 9 GCSE’s that were all B’s or C’s. Since then I have been studying at Duchy College in Cornwall. In 2010/11 I gained a level 2 diploma in land based engineering. This year I have been taking a level 2 certificate in plant operations. I have gained several driving qualifications which I have listed below.

My main interest is in driving and I passed my tractor driving test at 16 and now also hold a full UK drivers licence. We have a 6 tonne digger on the farm which I used on and of the farm.

While studying my engineering course I worked part time for a farm contracting business, helping to service the machines and running repairs.
