 I have a varied amount of skills so I am looking for a position where my experience and skills would be beneficial. To include accommodation (house) . I am married and we have 3 collies but no dependent children .  The dogs are well behaved and my wife enjoys dog training and agility sports.    She also has shepherding skills and enjoys the farming lifestyle.

Bale loading , stacking and carting / conventional baling/ tending etc . Fencing . Post & rail . Stock wire and gates etc . Trailers, silage , dump , bale , livestock etc . Sensible driver ! Assistant Shepherd for 5 years on a commercial sheep unit ,2000 ewes lambing December/January.  Small amount of dairy and beef experience, milking, feeding, bedding, stock movement, etc.  Mainly sheep experience though . I am responsible for most of the lambing in December/January, working alongside the farm manager and the other members of the team who all have their specific duties. We also have students visit the farm through the lambing period ,I teach them what to look out for and show them how to lamb a ewe when she needs help. My work for rest of the year involves, shepherding duties with the manager or in his absence along with carrying out foot trimming, vaccinating, drenching, crutching, etc . Helping the shearing contractors.  When I am not working with sheep I am responsible for all of the farm maintenance and building work along with maintaining machinery and fabricating/ welding and general workshop requirements.  Fencing, post and rail, stock fences, gates, etc.  All in all pretty versatile!

Yes, Wife also an experienced lambing assistant, milk bar rearing of 700 lambs with exceptional results ! Experienced dog handler agility and working sheep dogs . She works part time on the farm and helps the farm manager with the flock duties when I am tied up with building and maintenance projects on the farm

For many years before farming I was a general builder, so have lots of experience with, brick/block work, stone work , carpentry, groundwork, etc. All very useful around the farm !
