I am a keen stockman and have over 20 years of extensive experience working with sheep, cattle, pigs and poultry to an exceptionally high level. I am working on a temp basis for a Dairy Farm on a self employed basis. Previously I worked for a small farm locally as a Farm Manager. Previous to the move to Derbyshire, I was working as a Shepherd/Livestock Manager on a large 4000 acre organic privately owned Estate. I was responsible for the day to day management of all aspects of the Livestock breeding, husbandry and care. I cared for 1000 breeding ewes and 120 suckler cows and followers. I was responsible from calving to finishing/marketing beef cattle. I was also responsible for all record keeping, BCMS, ARAMS, paperwork and other relevant Office tasks. I am also a very experienced Hedgelayer, Fencer and Dry Stone Waller. I have much Arable experience inc drilling, ploughing, cultivating, combine harvest work, hay and silage making. I have 4 working sheep dogs and working gun dogs. I endeavour to complete all tasks to a high standard. I can competently maintain machinery. I am able to think on my feet and am an excellent problem solver. Usual tractor/telehandler qualifications. I can provide full references upon request.
