I have had a variety of experience with machinery. All aspects of hay and silage making from mowing right through to wrapping.

I have used a fork lift to load wool onto a truck and to unload items when they arrive on farm.

I have operated a number of tractors, trucks and side by sides on farm and have my current quad bike certificate.

Other livestock experience

I have worked predominantly with livestock for 11 years in Australian production systems. I held the position of Livestock Manager for 8 years on a property in central Tasmania, increasing productivity and managing all areas of animal husbandry of a 6000 head ewe flock and 200 head of Angus cattle.

I have experience in pasture management and rotational grazing, livestock production management and value adding through increased lambing percentages, maintaining condition scores and optimal drenching management. I have previously worked on a 600 cow dairy, running daily milking and feeding programs, cattle education for improved temperaments, all areas of calving and heat detection. I also have experience with liver fluke management and knowledge of drench resistance and optimal timing of fluke drenches.
